Heighington Bushido Kai Karate Do (HBK Karate) Lincoln was established in 1971/1972 and is one of the longest running karate / martial arts clubs in Lincolnshire. We currently train at 6 locations around Lincoln and its surrounding villages. We are a fully endorsed member of the EKF and all of our instructors are CRB Checked and hold valid first aid certificates.
The HBK Squad is the competition arm of the otherwise traditional Wado Ryu karate club, with Sensei Billy Hunter coaching the Kata and Rob Park coaching Kumite. We are also very fortunate to have Sensei Sara Cotton (EKF Judge) as part of the squad. The squad regularly trains at the Strike Zone Gym Croft Street Lincoln, The gym is fully kitted out with a variety of matted areas.
The squad has been picking up speed and winning medals at most of the competitions that we have been participating in. We are always looking for new members to join us and we hold regular squad events at the regular training locations to help introduce new members to the squad for either Kata or Kumite.
Martial arts tournaments are not for everyone and some people wish to learn a marital art for fitness, self-defence, confidence or discipline you will find us a truly non discriminating club and we welcome everyone no matter what your ability level is.
